4 Ingredient Chicken Marinade

A simple, zesty marinade made with garlic, lemon, soy sauce, and olive oil to flavor chicken quickly.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme optional

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, olive oil, and dried thyme until combined.
  2. Place up to 2 pounds of chicken in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over it, turning to coat evenly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook using your preferred method until done; discard any used marinade.

Notes

  • Leftover marinade can be stored refrigerated for up to three days.
  • Marinade can be frozen in an airtight container for up to one month.
  • Thaw frozen marinade completely before using.
