Directions:
- Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients. Start by peeling your ripe bananas and breaking them into chunks. If you’re using dates, pit them and chop them into smaller pieces to help them blend easier.
- Step 2: Blend the Base. In your high-powered blender or food processor, combine the banana chunks, dates (or maple syrup), almond milk, almond butter, cacao powder, and instant coffee powder.
- Step 3: Blend Until Smooth. Blend on high until all the ingredients are well combined and you achieve a creamy consistency. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula a few times to ensure everything is mixed well.
- Step 4: Taste and Adjust. Give your nice cream a taste! If you prefer it sweeter, feel free to add a little more maple syrup or another date. You can also add a touch more cocoa or coffee if you desire a stronger flavor.
- Step 5: Freeze Your Nice Cream. Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container. Spread it out evenly, and press a piece of parchment paper directly on the surface to prevent ice crystals from forming.
- Step 6: Freeze and Serve. Place the container in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until the nice cream is firm. When you’re ready to serve, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before scooping.
Notes
- Store your nice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for best results.
- Best enjoyed within one week for optimal flavor and texture.
- If too hard, let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
