Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Melon Baller

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 4 pieces Granny Smith apples Tart apples for best flavor.

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter Cut into cubes.

Toppings

  • to taste vanilla ice cream For serving.
  • to taste caramel sauce For drizzling.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Wash the Granny Smith apples under cool water. Slice off the top of each apple to create a small lid. Use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out the core and inner flesh, being careful not to puncture the skin. Set aside.
  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix well. Add the cold butter cubes and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step 3: Spoon the oat mixture into each hollowed apple, pressing it down slightly to ensure they are fully stuffed.
  • Step 4: Place the stuffed apples in the air fryer basket, ensuring they have space around them for air circulation.
  • Step 5: Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until tender and bubbly. Check halfway through and tent with foil if browning too quickly.
  • Step 6: Carefully remove the apples from the air fryer and let cool slightly. Drizzle with caramel sauce and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or dried fruits to the filling. Adjust brown sugar for sweetness as desired.
