Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower head cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1 lemon wedges
  • 1 favorite dipping sauce for serving

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Cauliflower - Start by washing the cauliflower thoroughly. Remove the leaves and cut the head into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are uniform in size for even cooking.
  2. Step 2: Season the Cauliflower - In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower florets with olive oil, ground turmeric, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss everything together until the cauliflower is well-coated in the seasoning mix.
  3. Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Preheating ensures that your cauliflower cooks evenly and gets that desired crispiness.
  4. Step 4: Air Fry the Cauliflower - Place the seasoned cauliflower florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking.
  5. Step 5: Add the Finishing Touches - Once the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy, remove it from the air fryer. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese while it’s still hot, allowing the cheese to melt slightly. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try adding curry powder or chili powder.
  • Substitute nutritional yeast for a vegan alternative to Parmesan.
  • Mix in other veggies like broccoli or carrots for a colorful medley.
