Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 head broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked white rice kept warm

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Serving Platter

Method

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes and the broccoli into florets. This ensures even cooking and makes for perfect bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken cubes with half of the teriyaki sauce, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Give it a good toss to ensure every piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). This step is essential as it helps to achieve that crispy exterior on your chicken and perfectly cooked broccoli.
  4. Once the air fryer is preheated, add the marinated chicken cubes in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  5. After 10 minutes, carefully add the broccoli florets to the air fryer basket with the chicken. Drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce over the broccoli, and toss gently to combine.
  6. Air fry the chicken and broccoli together for another 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the broccoli is tender and slightly crispy.
  7. Remove the chicken and broccoli from the air fryer and serve them over warm cooked white rice. Drizzle with any leftover teriyaki sauce if desired, and enjoy your delicious meal!

Notes

  • Ensure that the chicken pieces are cut uniformly for even cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of teriyaki sauce according to your taste preference.
