Ingredients
  

For the Marinade:
  • 8 thighs chicken boneless and skinless
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Marinade - In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and all the spices: cumin, coriander, cardamom, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Step 2: Marinate the Chicken - Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Assemble the Skewers - Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes prior to prevent burning.
  5. Step 5: Cook the Skewers - Place the skewers in the air fryer basket and cook for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Step 6: Prepare the Yogurt Sauce - Mix the remaining plain yogurt, minced garlic, and salt in a small bowl. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy - Once the chicken is cooked, serve hot with the yogurt sauce and your choice of sides.
