Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Donut Cutter

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk warmed to 100-110 degrees F
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon coffee extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Step 1: Warm the milk to 100-110 degrees F and add the active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Step 2: Add the egg, melted butter, and coffee extract to the yeast mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and brown sugar. Gradually add to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  • Step 4: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Step 5: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about an hour until doubled in size.
  • Step 6: Punch down the dough, roll it out to ½ inch thick, and cut out donuts using a donut cutter.
  • Step 7: Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F. Cook the donuts for 5-6 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  • Step 8: Allow the donuts to cool slightly before glazing or serving plain.
