Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 pounds skin-on chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or wings)

Breading

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Step 3: Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then transfer to the flour mixture, pressing lightly to coat.
  • Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 5: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or rub it with vegetable oil.
  • Step 6: Place the coated chicken pieces into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Step 7: Cook the chicken for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Step 8: Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure your chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). For extra crispy skin, lightly spray the chicken with cooking spray before air frying.
