Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 13 minutes
Servings: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces fresh or frozen gnocchi see recipe notes for details
  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (195°C) if your model requires preheating.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the gnocchi, 2 teaspoons olive oil, oregano (or Italian seasoning), garlic powder, kosher salt, grated Parmesan, and crushed red pepper flakes; toss until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned gnocchi in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray; work in batches if needed. A little overlap is acceptable.
  4. Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for an initial 5 minutes, then shake the basket. Continue cooking, shaking every 2–3 minutes, until gnocchi are golden and crisp—about 3–5 minutes more for fresh gnocchi or 7–10 minutes more for frozen gnocchi.
  5. Remove the gnocchi from the air fryer and serve immediately with marinara or pizza sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen potato, cauliflower, or sweet potato gnocchi as desired.
  • If using dried gnocchi, cook per package directions and cool before air-frying.
  • You can reduce the oil to 1 teaspoon, but oil helps achieve better browning than spray.
  • Work in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
