Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce or gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha hot sauce use less if you don't like heat
  • 1 clove garlic smashed
  • 4 fillets wild salmon skinless (6 oz each)

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Spatula or tongs

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the pure maple syrup, reduced sodium soy sauce, sriracha hot sauce, and smashed garlic. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salmon to a resealable bag. Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for a more intense flavor.
  3. While the salmon is marinating, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Once the air fryer is preheated, remove the salmon from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook the salmon at 400°F for about 10-12 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Once cooked, carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top for added flavor. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes

  • Marinate the salmon for at least 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches for even cooking.
  • For added crunch, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
