Ingredients
  

For the Bars:
  • 2 large ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  2. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and whisk until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, mix the almond flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and sea salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness.
  • Store bars wrapped in plastic or in an airtight container.
  • For nut-free, substitute almond butter with sunflower seed butter.
