Preparation Steps:
- Begin by pressing the firm tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for about 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the miso paste, Sriracha, soy sauce (or tamari), rice vinegar, sesame oil, onion powder, and garlic powder. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- After pressing, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes or rectangles.
- Add the tofu bites to the marinade, making sure each piece is well-coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or longer if you have the time.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated tofu bites in a single layer.
- Drizzle the sunflower oil over the tofu bites and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- Once baked, remove the tofu bites from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm.
Notes
- Press the tofu well to avoid sogginess.
- Don't crowd the baking sheet for crispy bites.
- Marinate the tofu longer for deeper flavors.
