Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup almond milk unsweetened
  • 1 recipe Roasted Banana Smash

Equipment

  • Small Saucepan
  • Fork
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Bowl

Method

  1. Start by roasting your bananas. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel and slice the bananas, then place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and caramelized. Let cool slightly and mash with a fork until smooth.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the old-fashioned oats, cinnamon, and almond milk. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes until desired consistency.
  3. Once cooked, remove from heat. Stir in the Roasted Banana Smash until well combined. Scoop into a bowl and add additional toppings as desired.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat with a splash of almond milk to loosen before serving.
  • Experiment with different toppings like nuts, seeds, or nut butter!
