Ingredients
  • 5 slicesKINGS HAWAIIAN® Original Sweet Sliced Bread
  • 1/2 cupbuffalo hot sauce
  • 1/3 cupfinely crumbled blue cheese
  • 30 wooden toothpicks

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Large baking sheet
  • parchment paper or silpat mat
  • pizza cutter or sharp knife
  • Rolling Pin
  • small bowl or dish
  • Brush or spoon
  • bread knife
  • Toothpicks

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat mat.
  2. Trim the crusts from each of the 5 slices of KINGS HAWAIIAN® Original Sweet Sliced Bread using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
  3. Place one trimmed slice on a clean work surface and use a rolling pin to roll it very flat (about the thickness of a tortilla). Repeat for all 5 slices.
  4. Pour the ½ cup buffalo hot sauce into a small bowl or dish. Brush or spoon the sauce evenly over each flattened slice so all slices are coated (divide the sauce evenly across the 5 slices).
  5. Evenly sprinkle the ⅓ cup finely crumbled blue cheese over the sauced slices (divide the cheese so each slice has a similar amount).
  6. Starting at one edge, roll each slice tightly into a log, pressing gently so it holds together. Place the seam side down briefly to help seal.
  7. Using a bread knife, cut each roll into 6 even pieces (5 rolls × 6 pieces = 30 pieces).
  8. Insert one wooden toothpick into each piece to secure the roll. Use the 30 wooden toothpicks provided, placing each secured piece on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down.
  9. Bake in the preheated 400°F oven for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and transfer the bites to a serving platter. Serve immediately.

Notes
