Instructions:
- Step 1: Steam the broccoli until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 2: Drain the broccoli thoroughly and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Step 3: Process the cooled broccoli in a food processor until finely chopped.
- Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine the processed broccoli with eggs, Parmesan cheese, nutritional yeast, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well.
- Step 5: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the broccoli mixture into a round crust about ½ inch thick.
- Step 6: Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
- Step 7: Add pizza sauce, remaining mozzarella, and other toppings. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Step 8: Let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing. Top with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- Drain the broccoli well after steaming to prevent a soggy crust.
- Experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
- For a thicker crust, double the recipe and use a larger baking sheet.
