Ingredients
  

For the Spice Mix:
  • 1 tablespoon Mild Paprika
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • 0.5-0.75 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (adjust based on heat preference)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cracked Pepper
For the Steak Bites:
  • 23 oz Steak cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1-2 tablespoons Canola Oil for searing
  • 0.25 cup Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic finely chopped

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. In a small bowl, combine all the spices for the spice mix. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
  2. In a large bowl, coat the steak cubes with the spice mix and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Heat the canola oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the seasoned steak bites to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until a crust forms. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter, and once melted, add garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  6. Return the steak bites to the skillet, toss in the Cajun butter sauce, and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with any remaining sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a keto version, substitute brown sugar with a brown sugar alternative.
  • Use olive oil or avocado oil if out of canola oil.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
