Ingredients

For the Cajun Chicken Skillet:
  • 2 lbs chicken breast, boneless, skinless
  • 2 bell peppers (1 red, 1 green)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Sharp Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Spatula or wooden spoon

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients - Start by gathering all your ingredients. Wash the bell peppers, then slice them into thin strips. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, ensuring they are of uniform size for even cooking.
  2. Step 2: Heat the Skillet - In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces to the skillet, ensuring they are spread out to avoid overcrowding.
  3. Step 3: Season the Chicken - Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the chicken as it cooks. Stir occasionally to ensure all pieces are well-coated and browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add Garlic and Peppers - Once the chicken is nearly cooked through, add the pressed garlic and sliced bell peppers to the skillet. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the peppers are tender and the chicken is fully cooked, about another 5 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Finish with Green Onions - Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped green onions. This adds a fresh burst of flavor right before serving.
  6. Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Spoon the Cajun Chicken Skillet onto plates and serve hot. This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad. Enjoy the vibrant flavors and the satisfaction of a hearty meal made in one pan!
