Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large or jumbo shrimp Peeled, deveined, and tails on or off
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 medium garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Method
 

  1. Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Allow it to foam slightly but be careful not to let it brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Toss the shrimp into the skillet, then sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Stir well to coat the shrimp evenly.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Once the shrimp are cooked through, remove the skillet from heat. Squeeze in lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Serve the Cajun shrimp immediately, either on a bed of rice, in tacos, or on their own.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use fresh shrimp rather than frozen.
  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning based on your spice tolerance.
  • This dish cooks quickly, so be ready to serve as soon as the shrimp are done.
