Ingredients

For the Marinade:
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup chicken finger dipping sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
For the Chicken:
  • 6 pieces skinless boneless chicken breast halves

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Resealable Plastic Bag
  • Meat Thermometer
  • Grill or Oven

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Marinade - In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, chicken finger dipping sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, lemon juice, white vinegar, and ground black pepper. Whisk everything together until well blended.
  2. Step 2: Marinate the Chicken - Place the chicken breast halves in a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Seal the bag, removing as much air as possible, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally, overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Step 3: Preheat Your Cooking Appliance - If you're grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If baking, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Step 4: Cook the Chicken - Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. For grilling, cook the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). If baking, place the chicken in a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Serve and Enjoy - Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve it with your favorite sides, and enjoy the flavorful explosion that is Canes Chicken Mariande!
