Instructions:
- Step 1: Prepare the Crostini. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). If you're using baguette slices, slice them into ½-inch thick pieces. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Step 2: Toast the Bread. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and toast the bread for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
- Step 3: Mix the Filling. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped artichoke hearts, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, Pecorino cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced shallots, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Step 4: Assemble the Crostini. Once the crostini are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Using a spatula, spread the cheesy artichoke mixture generously over each crostini.
- Step 5: Bake Again. Return the assembled crostini to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. The edges should be golden and crispy.
- Step 6: Garnish and Serve. Remove the crostini from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Top each one with a DeLallo Sweet & Tangy Pepper Drop for an extra burst of flavor. Serve warm and enjoy the compliments!
Notes
- For a twist, add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the mixture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven to regain crispiness.
