Ingredients

For the Muesli:
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 to 1 1/4 cups unsweetened coconut/almond milk blend
  • 1 tablespoon toasted unsweetened coconut
  • 2 tablespoons dried tart cherries
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana sliced

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage container

Method

Preparation Steps:
  1. In a mixing bowl, add the quick-cooking oats, a pinch of sea salt, ground cinnamon, and chia seeds. Stir these dry ingredients together until they are well mixed.
  2. Pour in the maple syrup and the coconut/almond milk blend. Stir everything together until the oats are well-coated and the mixture is evenly combined.
  3. Gently fold in the dried tart cherries and sliced banana. Make sure the fruit is evenly distributed throughout the muesli.
  4. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5-10 minutes. This will give the oats a chance to absorb some of the liquid and soften.
  5. Spoon the muesli into bowls and sprinkle with toasted unsweetened coconut on top. Feel free to add additional banana slices or a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.

Notes

  • Use quick cooking oats for the best texture.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the liquid amount if using fresh cherries.
