Ingredients

For the Cookies:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 count egg at room temperature
  • 1 count egg yolk at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces white chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 cup nonpareil sprinkles

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Whisk
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Cookie Scoop
  • Cooling rack

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your cookies bake evenly.
  2. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. This will help prevent sticking and make cleanup a breeze.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted and cooled unsalted butter with the packed brown sugar and white sugar. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. Whisk until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped white chocolate and nonpareil sprinkles, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will continue to set as they cool.
  10. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Enjoy your fresh Chewy Sprinkle Cookies warm or at room temperature!

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for better shape and flavor.
  • Use light brown sugar for an even chewier texture.
  • Make sure your butter is fully cooled before mixing to ensure the right cookie texture.
