Stepwise Method:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, adobo sauce, and kosher salt. Mix well until the brown sugar is fully dissolved and the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Place the salmon fillets in the bowl with the marinade. Make sure each fillet is generously coated. If you have time, let it marinate for 15-30 minutes for deeper flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This high heat will help caramelize the sugar, giving the salmon a delightful crust.
- Place the marinated salmon fillets on an oven-safe baking dish or sheet pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top for a fresh finish. Serve warm and enjoy your Chipotle Salmon!
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, try using coconut sugar instead of brown sugar.
- Adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of adobo sauce used.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
