Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Add the eggs and egg yolk, and beat until well blended and smooth.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped semi-sweet chocolate using a spatula.
Step 6: Lightly grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with cooking spray or butter.
