Instructions
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of diced unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler for this step.
- Once the chocolate and butter are melted and well combined, pour in the sweetened condensed milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Next, add the creamy (or crunchy) peanut butter and vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture. Stir until everything is thoroughly combined and you achieve a luscious mixture.
- Gradually add the sifted confectioners sugar to the bowl, mixing well after each addition. This will help to create a velvety texture in your fudge.
- Once everything is mixed, pour the fudge mixture into your lined baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Smooth the top and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
- Once the fudge is set, remove it from the refrigerator and lift it out of the baking dish using the edges of the parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board and slice it into squares. Enjoy your delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge!
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- For longer storage, freeze the fudge in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
- Ensure to separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
