  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14-ounce
  • 1 cup unsalted butter diced into pieces; divided
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup no-stir peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar sifted if lumpy

  • Rubber spatula
  • 9x9-inch baking dish or lined pan
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Instructions
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of diced unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler for this step.
  2. Once the chocolate and butter are melted and well combined, pour in the sweetened condensed milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  3. Next, add the creamy (or crunchy) peanut butter and vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture. Stir until everything is thoroughly combined and you achieve a luscious mixture.
  4. Gradually add the sifted confectioners sugar to the bowl, mixing well after each addition. This will help to create a velvety texture in your fudge.
  5. Once everything is mixed, pour the fudge mixture into your lined baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Smooth the top and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
  6. Once the fudge is set, remove it from the refrigerator and lift it out of the baking dish using the edges of the parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board and slice it into squares. Enjoy your delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • For longer storage, freeze the fudge in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
  • Ensure to separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
