Chocolate Peanut Butter Magic Cookie Bars

Layered magic cookie bars with a graham cracker crust, a sweetened condensed milk and Reese's spread topping, and a mix of chocolate chips, Reese's Pieces, and flaked coconut. Optional nuts or peanut-butter additions can be included.

  • 1 1/2 cupsgraham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cupbutter melted
  • 1/4 cupReese’s Chocolate And Peanut Butter Spread
  • 1 14 oz. can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cupschocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cupsReese’s Pieces
  • 1 1/3 cupsflaked coconut
  • Optional – nuts mini peanut butter cups or peanut butter chips

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously coat a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs and 1/2 cup melted butter until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  4. Place 1/4 cup Reese’s Chocolate And Peanut Butter Spread in a microwave-safe bowl and heat about 20 seconds, or until it reaches a pourable consistency. Stir.
  5. Immediately add 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk to the warmed spread and stir until well combined.
  6. Pour the sweetened condensed milk and spread mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  7. Evenly sprinkle 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut, 1 cup chocolate chips, and 1 1/2 cups Reese’s Pieces over the top. If using optional nuts, mini peanut butter cups, or peanut butter chips, sprinkle them now.
  8. Gently press the toppings down so they adhere to the condensed milk layer (press with a fork if desired).
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and the top is set.
  10. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour to firm up. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

7. Evenly sprinkle 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut, 1 cup chocolate chips, and 1 1/2 cups Reese’s Pieces over the top. If using optional nuts, mini peanut butter cups, or peanut butter chips, sprinkle them now.
