Method

How to Prepare:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chocolate Mousse - Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth, or use a double boiler. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Step 2: Whip the Cream - In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream using a hand mixer or whisk until stiff peaks form.
  3. Step 3: Combine Chocolate and Cream - Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream using a spatula.
  4. Step 4: Fill the Taco Boats - Spoon or pipe the chocolate mousse into the taco boats, filling generously.
  5. Step 5: Decorate Your Monsters - Use colored frosting to create monster features and food coloring spray for vibrant colors.
  6. Step 6: Add the Eyes - Place two large candy eyes on each taco, using frosting to help them stick.
  7. Step 7: Chill and Serve - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the mousse to set.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add crushed nuts or granola to the mousse.
  • Customize decorations based on themes or holidays.
  • Ensure chocolate is cooled before folding into whipped cream.
