Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for batter

Wet Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Prepare your muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with muffin liners.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ½ cup of sugar.
  • Step 4: In another bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Step 5: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Step 6: Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
  • Step 7: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 8: Prepare the cinnamon sugar coating by mixing the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Step 9: Brush the tops of the muffins with melted butter and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Step 10: Let the muffins cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For best results, measure flour accurately and avoid overmixing the batter.
