Method

Instructions
  1. Start by collecting all the ingredients listed above. Make sure your butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter and cream cheese. Using your electric mixer, beat them together until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
  3. Slowly add the powdered sugar to the butter and cream cheese mixture. Mix on low speed to avoid a cloud of sugar! Once incorporated, increase the speed to medium until the icing is fluffy.
  4. Add milk or half and half a little at a time, mixing until you reach your desired spreadable consistency. You want it smooth but thick enough to hold its shape.
  5. Give your icing a taste. If you’d like it sweeter, feel free to add more powdered sugar. You can also add vanilla extract or a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
  6. Once your Cinnamon Roll Icing is ready, generously spread it over your warm cinnamon rolls. Enjoy the melty goodness as it seeps into the rolls, creating a heavenly experience!

Notes

  • Store icing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • To achieve a thicker icing, simply add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired thickness.
  • You can freeze the icing in an airtight container for up to three months.
