Instructions
- Start by collecting all the ingredients listed above. Make sure your butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
- In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter and cream cheese. Using your electric mixer, beat them together until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
- Slowly add the powdered sugar to the butter and cream cheese mixture. Mix on low speed to avoid a cloud of sugar! Once incorporated, increase the speed to medium until the icing is fluffy.
- Add milk or half and half a little at a time, mixing until you reach your desired spreadable consistency. You want it smooth but thick enough to hold its shape.
- Give your icing a taste. If you’d like it sweeter, feel free to add more powdered sugar. You can also add vanilla extract or a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
- Once your Cinnamon Roll Icing is ready, generously spread it over your warm cinnamon rolls. Enjoy the melty goodness as it seeps into the rolls, creating a heavenly experience!
Notes
- Store icing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- To achieve a thicker icing, simply add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired thickness.
- You can freeze the icing in an airtight container for up to three months.
