Copycat Olive Garden Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound Chicken tenders
  • 1 pound Medium-size shrimp, peeled and deveined

Oil and Seasoning

  • 1 cup Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper, freshly ground
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Pasta

  • 1 package Your choice of pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)

Garnishes

  • to taste Fresh parsley, for garnishing Optional
  • to taste Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving Optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients - Gather all your ingredients, wash and peel the shrimp, season the chicken, and mince the garlic.
  • Step 2: Cook the Pasta - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 3: Sauté the Chicken - In a large skillet, heat half of the olive oil, add chicken, season, and cook until golden brown. Remove and slice.
  • Step 4: Cook the Shrimp - In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and garlic, sauté, then add shrimp and season. Cook until pink and opaque.
  • Step 5: Combine Everything - Add sliced chicken back to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss to combine. Adjust with pasta water or olive oil if needed.
  • Step 6: Serve - Serve hot, garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For extra creaminess, consider adding a splash of heavy cream or a dollop of cream cheese. Make sure not to overcook the shrimp.
