Ingredients

  • 1 cup espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free hazelnut creamer
  • 1/4 cup nonfat milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • to taste Monk fruit or stevia (optional)

Equipment

  • Espresso machine or coffee maker
  • Small Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Mug
  • Spoon

Method

  1. Start by brewing 1 cup of espresso or strong coffee. If you’re using a coffee maker, make sure to use a dark roast for the best flavor. Once brewed, set it aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar-free hazelnut creamer, nonfat milk, and unsweetened cocoa powder. Whisk everything together until smooth and well combined.
  3. Keep whisking while the mixture heats up. You want it warm, but not boiling. Once it reaches your desired temperature, remove it from the heat.
  4. Pour the brewed espresso or strong coffee into your saucepan with the creamer and cocoa mixture. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
  5. Taste your Copycat Starbucks Skinny Mocha and add monk fruit or stevia if you prefer it a little sweeter. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  6. Pour your delicious mocha into a mug, and if you’re feeling fancy, top it with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or a dollop of whipped cream. Sip and savor every chocolatey sip!

Notes

  • Experiment with different types of milk for a unique flavor.
  • Try adding a dash of cinnamon for extra warmth.
  • Store leftover mocha in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
