Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or powdered sugar see notes

Equipment

  • high-speed blender or food processor
  • Rubber spatula
  • Serving bowls

Method
 

  1. Add the cottage cheese, cocoa powder, and maple syrup (or powdered sugar) to a high-speed blender or food processor.
  2. Blend on high, stopping to scrape down the sides with a spatula as needed, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Transfer the mousse to serving dishes and serve immediately, or chill for at least 1 hour to thicken before serving.

Notes

  • Honey or sugar-free sweeteners can be used instead of maple syrup.
  • Vanilla extract, espresso powder, or fresh berries add flavor variations.
  • Dairy-free cottage cheese can be used as a substitute.
