Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 lemon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt

Method
 

  1. Start by letting your unsalted butter sit at room temperature until it’s soft.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add the softened butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, sea salt, and pepper.
  3. Using a fork or spatula, mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined and the butter is smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Shape it into a log, rolling it tightly and twisting the ends to seal.
  5. Place the wrapped Cowboy Butter in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  6. Once chilled, slice the Cowboy Butter into rounds and serve it on top of grilled meats, steamed vegetables, or even on warm bread.
