Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup very finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO sauce
  • 1 can lump crab (6-ounce)
  • 2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 4 English muffins split

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, finely chopped celery, finely chopped onion, garlic powder, and TABASCO sauce. Stir well.
  3. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, then add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Place the split English muffins on a baking sheet, cut side up, and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the toasted muffins and spoon the crab mixture generously onto each muffin half.
  6. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute dairy-free mayonnaise and cheese for a dairy-free option.
  • Use gluten-free English muffins or bread for a gluten-free version.
  • Make the crab mixture ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
