  • 1 large Sweet Onion Peeled and diced to enhance the overall flavor.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened to create a creamy filling.

  • 8 ounces Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough The dough that wraps it all up.
  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese Cut in half for added flavor.
  • 1 large Egg For brushing the dough.

Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Step 2: Add diced sweet onion and both bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté until onions are translucent and peppers are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese with the sausage and vegetable mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 4: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out crescent roll dough on a baking sheet, arranging triangles in a circle.
  • Step 5: Spoon the filling into the ring of crescent rolls and place provolone cheese halves over the filling.
  • Step 6: Fold the points of the crescent roll dough over the filling to create a ring and seal the edges.
  • Step 7: Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the crescent roll ring.
  • Step 8: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on it to prevent overbaking.
  • Step 9: Allow to cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

For an even creamier filling, consider adding garlic powder or shredded cheese. Make sure to seal the crescent dough well to prevent leaking.
