Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 2 ripe avocados peeled and seeded
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped seeded jalapeño pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Cutting board and knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Fork or potato masher
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Serving Bowl

Method

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Peel and seed the avocados and chop the cilantro and jalapeño.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the ripe avocados. Use a fork or potato masher to mash them to your desired level of smoothness. You can leave it a bit chunky for added texture.
  3. Add the plain fat-free Greek yogurt to the mashed avocados. Stir until well combined. The yogurt will add creaminess and a tangy flavor.
  4. Incorporate the minced garlic, chopped cilantro, finely chopped jalapeño, fresh lime juice, and ground cumin into the avocado-yogurt mixture. Stir well to ensure even distribution of flavors.
  5. Finally, season with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Remember to taste the dip as you go, adjusting the seasoning to your preference.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and enjoy it with your choice of pita chips, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
