Chicken

  • 4 pieces thin-cut chicken breasts

Coating

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  • Step 1: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Step 2: On a large plate, combine flour and Parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken breast in the mixture until evenly coated.
  • Step 3: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Step 4: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add butter. Allow it to melt, scraping up any browned bits for added flavor.
  • Step 5: Whisk in the remaining flour and Parmesan mixture, adding water or chicken broth as needed to create a smooth sauce. Allow it to thicken before returning the chicken to the pan, spooning the sauce over the chicken.
  • Step 6: Serve the creamy garlic butter chicken over pasta, rice, or alongside vegetables. Garnish with parsley or additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For best texture, avoid overcrowding the pan when searing the chicken. Cook in batches if necessary. Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more flour or liquid as desired.
