Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Remove frozen chicken patties from packaging and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket with space between each patty.
Air fry at 400°F for 5 minutes, then flip the patties with tongs and air fry for an additional 5–7 minutes, until the exterior is golden and the patties are heated through.
If using raw (not pre-cooked) chicken patties, continue cooking and check with a meat thermometer until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Place a slice of cheddar on each patty and air fry at 350°F for 1 minute, or until the cheese begins to melt.
Toast buns in the air fryer briefly if desired. Assemble sandwiches by spreading blue cheese dressing and hot sauce on buns, topping with a chicken patty, lettuce leaf, sliced onion, sliced tomato, and chopped cilantro.
Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
