Ingredients

  • 4 bars dark chocolate (or 3 cups dark chocolate chips)
  • 2/3 cup pomegranate seeds (fresh and juicy)
  • 2/3 cup dates (chopped into small pieces)
  • 2/3 cup dried figs (chopped into small pieces)

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Silicone molds or parchment paper
  • Knife
  • Measuring Cups

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Chop the dates and dried figs into small pieces.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, break the dark chocolate into smaller pieces. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Once your chocolate is melted, gently fold in the chopped dates, dried figs, and pomegranate seeds.
  4. Spoon the chocolate and fruit mixture into silicone molds or onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
  5. Place the molds or baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  6. Once set, pop the candies out of the molds or break them apart if using a baking sheet.

Notes

  • Choose high-quality dark chocolate that contains at least 70% cocoa for a richer flavor.
  • Fresh pomegranate seeds can be substituted with dried pomegranate if fresh is not available.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
