- In a medium bowl, add 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
- Add 2 tablespoons fresh dill (finely chopped), 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 small garlic clove (minced), 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to the bowl.
- Stir with a spoon or whisk until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Remove from the refrigerator, stir the sauce once more, then taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve chilled.
