Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of salt. Once boiling, add the 12 oz of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta in a colander.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter along with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Once melted, add the thinly sliced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the garlic is golden and fragrant. Be careful not to burn it!
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed garlic. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated in the buttery garlic mixture.
- Gradually add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until you achieve your desired sauce consistency. The starchy water will help create a silky sauce that clings to the pasta.
- Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
- Plate the Garlic Parsley Pasta, garnishing with additional parsley if desired. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture!
Notes
- For a creamier sauce, consider adding a splash of heavy cream.
- Feel free to add protein like grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
