Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 10 tablespoons Salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar, packed
  • 0.75 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract

Chocolate Chips

  • 12 ounces Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter, light brown sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Step 4: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • Step 5: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Step 6: Fold in chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  • Step 7: Drop rounded balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Step 8: Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
