Instructions
Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and ground pepper. Mix until all the spices are well blended.
Step 2: Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken legs and rub it in. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken legs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Step 4: Place the chicken legs on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Step 5: During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the honey barbecue sauce over the chicken legs.
Step 6: Remove the chicken legs from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
