Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey lean
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • Rice or pasta for serving

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Measuring Spoons

Method

  1. Start by dicing the red and green bell peppers into small pieces. Slice the green onions and mince the garlic. Having everything prepped will make the cooking process much smoother.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the turkey is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to break it up into smaller pieces as it cooks.
  3. Once the turkey is cooked, add the diced red and green bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the peppers begin to soften.
  4. Add the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine all ingredients and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Finally, add the sliced green onions to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional minute, just until the green onions are slightly wilted.
  6. Serve the ground turkey and pepper mixture over cooked rice or pasta. Enjoy your delicious and nutritious meal!
