Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh salmon
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce opt for low-sodium if preferred
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Chopped fresh parsley optional

Equipment

  • Non-stick Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Start by patting the fresh salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic until well combined. Set this glaze aside for later.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, it’s time to add the salmon.
  4. Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them, allowing the skin to get nice and crispy.
  5. Gently flip the salmon fillets using a spatula. Pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon, ensuring each piece is generously coated. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the glaze over the fillets as they cook.
  6. Once the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, remove it from the skillet. If desired, drizzle any remaining glaze from the skillet over the top for extra flavor.
  7. Sprinkle the salmon with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and serve it hot with your favorite sides. Enjoy the delicious flavors of your Honey Garlic Salmon Recipe!
