Ingredients

For the Salmon:
  • 24 oz salmon fillet, boneless and skinless (cut into 6 pieces, 4 oz each)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp light olive oil (or any high-heat cooking oil)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)
  • 1 tbsp chives (to garnish, optional)

Equipment

  • Non-stick Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving Platter

Method

Preparation Steps:
  1. Start by patting the salmon pieces dry with paper towels. Season each piece with sea salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a shallow dish, spread out the all-purpose flour. Dredge each salmon piece in flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. In a non-stick skillet, heat the light olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Carefully place the salmon pieces in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine the honey and soy sauce in a small bowl. Once the salmon is cooked, pour the honey glaze over the pieces and allow it to caramelize for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove the salmon from the skillet, squeeze fresh lime juice over the top, and garnish with chopped chives. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • Use wild-caught salmon for a richer flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
  • Consider adding minced garlic or ginger to the glaze for extra flavor.
