  • 2.5 pounds chicken wings separated into drumettes and flats
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for that crispy texture
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch enhances crunchiness

  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt essential for seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper adds a bit of heat
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika for color and a subtle smokiness
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder for deep flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder complements the garlic
  • 0.5 cup hot sauce choose your favorite for the perfect kick

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings and all the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, kosher salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss the wings in the mixture until they are evenly coated.
  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  4. Spray the wings lightly with cooking spray or drizzle a little oil over them. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Once baked, remove wings from the oven and place them in a mixing bowl. Pour the hot sauce over the wings and toss until well-coated.
  6. Transfer the sauced wings to a serving platter and serve with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For gluten-free wings, use gluten-free all-purpose flour.
