Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Hamburger Buns choose your favorite type
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter or neutral oil like canola or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoning optional, e.g., garlic powder, onion powder, or salt

Equipment

  • Griddle or skillet
  • Spatula
  • Knife
  • Measuring Spoon

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Buns - If your hamburger buns are not pre-sliced, use a sharp knife to cut them in half. This will ensure even toasting.
  2. Step 2: Heat the Griddle - Place your griddle or skillet on medium heat. Allow it to preheat for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add Butter or Oil - Once the griddle is hot, add a tablespoon of unsalted butter or a drizzle of oil to the surface. Let it melt and coat the griddle evenly.
  4. Step 4: Toast the Buns - Place the cut sides of the buns down on the griddle. If you’re using seasoning, sprinkle it over the buns at this stage. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Step 5: Flip and Finish - Using a spatula, carefully flip the buns to toast the outside for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Once both sides are toasted to your liking, remove the buns from the griddle and fill them with your favorite burger patty and toppings.

Notes

  • Experiment with different types of buns to find your favorite.
  • Use fresh herbs in the butter for a seasonal twist.
  • Store leftover buns in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
