  • 1/2 to 3/4 cupmilkany percentage
  • Whipped creamoptional for topping
  • Sprinklesoptional for topping

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Glass

Method

Instructions
  1. Gather: 1 1/2 cups ice cream (about 3 scoops), 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk, a blender, and a glass.
  2. If the ice cream is very hard, let it sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes so it becomes slightly softened and easier to blend.
  3. Place the 1 1/2 cups ice cream in the blender.
  4. Add 1/2 cup milk to start. Secure the blender lid.
  5. Blend on medium speed until mostly smooth, then check the thickness. If it’s too thick to pour, add up to an additional 1/4 cup milk (to a total of 3/4 cup), blending again until the milkshake is smooth and pourable.
  6. Pour the milkshake into a glass.
  7. Top with whipped cream and/or sprinkles if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

Whipped cream and sprinkles are optional toppings.
Adjust milk amount between 1/2 and 3/4 cup to reach desired thickness.
