Ingredients
  

For the Batter:
  • 1 cup Chickpea flour finely ground, also known as besan or gram flour
  • 1 cup Filtered water
  • ¾ teaspoon Sea salt high-quality
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground cumin or other spices like paprika or coriander
  • tablespoons Olive oil extra virgin preferred

  • Cast Iron Skillet

Method
 

Cooking Instructions:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, sea salt, and ground cumin. Gradually whisk in the water until smooth. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a cast iron skillet inside to heat.
  3. Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and add the olive oil, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
  4. Pour the rested batter into the hot skillet, tilting to ensure even coverage. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  5. For an extra crispy top, switch your oven to broil and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm with toppings.
